Best Wishes tomorrow

Just wanted to wish all the teachers, students, and families of our Tri Kappa sorority an awesome school year. I feel a little anxious about starting up this year, but I am sure it will all be fine once I get going. Having the open house before I even see my students has un-nerved me. YIKES!

Best wishes to Karen and all our officers as we start our next Tri Kappa season. We are certainly in very capable hands.

Just to give you an idea as to how we can use our blog, I posted these pictures from my Province Convention way back when! Old pictures, new pictures, thoughts, ideas... we can include anything Tri Kappa here!

Megan is our first new initiate to sign on to the Pecans and Easter Eggs blog. Let's each ask other Delta members to sign up. Perhaps Karen can walk everyone through the sign-up, posting, and comments via email so that everyone knows how. This has the potential to be sisterly!

Birth Announcement

Thanks to Connie, we have news of Carrie Shinkle's new baby. This was posted as a comment in another post, and I wasn't sure everyone would see it. Here's what Connie shared:

By the way, Betty is a new grandmother and Carrie a new mom. Carrie Shinkle gave birth to Hunter James Shinkle. 6 lbs. 15 oz... Betty texted me today and I know Carrie went to the hospital yesterday. Carrie's labor started around 8 PM last night, 6/9 and Hunter was born at 2 PM today, 6/10. This makes 2 children - Madison & Hunter.

Congratulations to Betty and Carrie and her family!

Dues and Fees

Just a reminder...

Dues for the 2009-2010 year will be $31 for active members and $8 for college girls. Treasurer Brenda will be happy to begin collecting dues at our August 10th meeting.

In addition, we neglected to collect the $15 initiation fee from our new initiates on Monday evening (too much going on!). We will need to get that as soon as possible and have them sign Form VP-6 so Sarah can get that sent in within the next 30 days.

I thought I saw someone circulating a paper to get our newest member's email addresses (I only have a couple of those). If you have those, please share!
