Hey Ladies!
Remember that I will be putting in an order for Tri Kappa clothing from J&S after the meeting on Monday. Please make your selection, if you haven't done so already, and let me know at the meeting (I'll have the clipboard with the orders). I'll be collecting checks made out to J&S Sportswear, which you can figure by adding up your selections then adding a 7% tax to the total.

Remember, the choices are on this blog from earlier, and you can see it enlarged by clicking on the pictures. After I place the order, it will probably be ready within 10 days-2 weeks, so I'll contact you about delivery. My sweatshirt is nice and warm!

Delta Christmas Party

Special thanks to Maxine for hosting our meeting last night! We loved seeing all your very special trees. Thanks to all the ladies who helped prepare the light supper, as well - Cindy and Mary, and any others who I may have missed. Everything was delicious! We all had a great time. The ornaments that you made and shared were an extra-special touch. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for helping us get in the spirit of the season!

...wishing all my Tri Kappa sisters a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you're able to relax and enjoy time with your families. Try not to stress too much. I know, easier said than done! How about sharing those things you're thankful for in the comment section? Don't be afraid to include "little" things, as well...things like coffee, chick flicks, good books, etc.

Fleece Blankets

...just wanted to let everyone know that I purchased one of the fleece blankets at Wal-Mart for $4.00. They are in rolls similar to the one at left with a wrapper around the middle (shouldn't have thrown away the packaging or I could give you more details - oops!). They are in a bin in a central aisle towards the back of the store fairly close to bedding and picture frames.

I washed the blanket on delicate (as I do with all fleece) and dried it in the dryer. It seemed to do just fine - no shedding or pilling. Keep in mind - these are not the highest quality blankets, but I think they would do just fine for our bags. They would certainly be a comfort and would be something a child could call their own. At $4.00, this would be something individuals could pick up and donate, as able.

Here are your choices and prices for shirts and totes. I'll check with J&S Sportswear about the procedure for taking orders and payments. Our church was able to choose the color and style of shirt for each person, so we should be able to do that, too. Check back on the blog for updates.

Special thanks to Brenda Johnson, Janet Perry, Carolyn Clements, and Barb Gilliatt for serving as hostesses for our 108th chapter birthday celebration. How nice it was to enjoy fellowship with our sisters in the Associate chapter! I think everyone agrees that we should do this more often. It was a special time to hear everyone's Tri Kappa memories and realize just how important our sisterhood really is! We are a part of a very special organization!
